Illustration for the first blog issue editorial by Gabriele Coccia from "Sottosuolo" Milanese cultural association.

Taking inspiration from Italo Calvino's "Le Città Invisibili", the challenge was to visually convey the author’s discourse on the modern city as a complex and infinite network of personal memories and experiences that collectively shape its identity.
I represented this concept through a mosaic of buildings, each symbolising an individual memory, coming together to form the cityscape.

The final illustration is a striking, atmospheric composition that captures the city’s layered complexity. Its mysterious appearance, enhanced by the color palette and cryptic subject, invites viewers to reflect on the interplay between personal and collective urban experiences.
